Riser Recliners – whats the difference?

Riser Recliner Mechanisms explained

Riser recliner offer a dynamic range of movements for medical needs, relaxation, individual comfort or simply to fit the space available. Often used by people who, because of their health conditions or mobility challenges, spend long durations seated. This is because they provide ease of repositioning, assistance in standing up, and in some instances, a more comfortable position to rest.

Single Motor

Single Motor Riser Recliner Chairs are our basic, entry level chair. They offer simplicity as the backrest and footrest do not operate independently.

Dual Motor

This movement offers independent leg rest and back rest functions and does not have tilt‐in‐space. Suitable for users who cannot tolerate tilt‐in‐space. It does not elevate the ankles above the hips whereas the tilt‐in‐space mechanisms do.

Single Motor Tilt-in space

Great comfort plus good for circulation and pressure relief as the users ankles elevate higher than the hips.

Dual Motor Tilt-in space

Suitable for skeletal issues and if you need regular alterations in position.  Different mechanisms provide the functionality to suit your comfort requirements and available space.
