Customer Care Team Member and Field Engineer

Overview

As a Customer Care Team Member and Field Engineer, you will be required to take on a diverse set of roles and responsibilities. Your main role will be carrying out servicing, repairs, fault finding and solution seeking either at one of our three showrooms or at the client’s home.

We will supply everything you need to carry out your role, including tools, equipment, vehicle, and ongoing training. Additional roles include product demonstrations and supporting your colleagues in our showrooms. Your product knowledge will be continually developing to enable you to provide solutions for our client’s mobility requirements.

Demonstrations and home assessments form part of your role and will include measuring clients for prescriptive wheelchairs/powerchairs and undertaking assessments for stairlifts, home lifts, bath lifts, beds and other home requirements. You will deliver and install our products to clients, ensuring they are satisfied and understand how to use their equipment safely.

The ideal candidate for this position is a team player who can also use their initiative to work independently. You will need to be computer literate to complete records in an accurate and timely manner. You will be compassionate and empathetic, preferably with experience in the mobility industry. It is vital that you are willing to learn and are committed to continually expanding your knowledge. Ongoing training will be provided via suppliers and the company.

Preferred attributes:

  • At least 6 months mechanical or electrical engineering experience
  • Experience working in the mobility sector, preferably in sales or engineering
  • Engineering qualifications
  • Sales experience
  • Knowledge of DC electrical circuits
  • Driving licence (Essential)

Location: Covering Northamptonshire, Leicestershire, Warwickshire

Type: Permanent, Full Time

Salary: A competitive salary dependent on experience, plus commission after initial trial period.

Additional Benefits: Pension, company van, company phone (optional), uniform and tools.

Hours: 09:00 to 17:00, Monday to Friday (includes paid 30 minutes lunch break), plus one Saturday in four.
