Lightweight aluminium frame
The Icon 35 LX Transit Wheelchair is constructed from a lightweight aluminium frame which provides strength and stability when you are using the wheelchair. Being aluminium it is also lightweight making it easier to push and lift when out and about.
Folds for easy transportation
Being able to use your wheelchair where ever you may need to go is essential. The Icon 35 LX Transit Wheelchair folds up and can be transported with ease. You can fold the frame inwards, fold the attendant controls down and remove the footrests leaving you with a compact size to store in the boot of your car.
Soft padded seat
It is important that when you use the Icon 35 LX Transit Wheelchair that you are comfortable, this is why it comes as standard with a padded seat for added comfort. The breathable and padded mesh layer on the seat and backrest offers you additional comfort when out and about.
Attendant controls and brakes
The Icon 35 LX Transit Wheelchair is designed to be pushed by an attendant with the user sat in the wheelchair not controlling. This is why there are handles and brakes at the rear of the wheelchair. So a carer or relative can safely control the wheelchair when out and about.

Icon 35 LX Transit Wheelchair – Lightweight and easy-to-use

The Icon 35 LX Transit Wheelchair is a high quality, ultr-lightweight transport wheelchair which is designed for optimum user comfort as well as convinience for the attendant. The wheelchair features an aluminium frame weighing just 9kg, which not only makes the wheelchair lightweight, but strong and durable too. The Icon 35 LX also features an ergonomic seat, adjustable armrests and a plush back cushion which are all designed to give the user a comfortable experience when using the wheelchair.

The Icon 35 LX Transit Wheelchair comes with 14″ transit wheels at the rear and 7″ front castors which both provide a smooth yet maneuverable ride. The swing away legrests which come as standard, and the foldable frame make it an easy wheelchair to store or transport.

Available in two colours, the Icon 35 LX also features a double cross frame for added strength and stability, as well as long attendant handles for ease of use for the attendant, and an intuitive braking system so that the attendant is always in control of the wheelchair.

The Icon 35 LX Transit Wheelchair is available in 2 seat widths 16″ and 18″, as well as a Self-propelled version.

How does VAT exemption work?

VAT exemption on products depends on two things. Firstly, you must have a long-term health condition. This excludes broken bones but does include things like heart disease, arthritis, stroke, MS, CP, COPD etc. Secondly, the product itself must be eligible for VAT exemption. For example, some decorative walking sticks are not eligible for VAT exemption whereas a mobility scooter will be. If both you and the product are eligible for VAT exemption then you do not pay VAT on that product.
