Icon 125 Transit Wheelchair – Tilt-in-Space or Positioning Wheelchair

The Icon 125 Transit Wheelchair is designed for users who will need to be in their wheelchair almost all day. The Icon 125 provides great support and comfort down to its completely configurable dimensions. There are lots we can adjust on the Icon 125 so that the user of the wheelchair is comfortable and sat correctly.

As a positioning or tilt-in-space wheelchair the Icon 125 can tilt backwards, keeping the user’s body in a fixed position but reclining them backwards. This helps relieve pressure across their body and will help make them more comfortable. This is particularly great if they intend to sleep in the wheelchair. The Icon 125 also has an adjustable backrest that tilts to provide a unique position that the user feels the most comfortable in.

The Icon 125 features an adjustable headrest to support the user’s head when they are reclined in the chair. The fully adjustable headrest had folding side wings for more lateral support. There are vast amounts of adjustment we can offer with the Icon 125. The back cushion on the Icon 125 is contoured to provide good lateral and lumbar support. The seat cushion is made from castellated foam which helps relieve pressure when in use for long periods of time. Both the seat cushion and back cushion are covered with a Dartex material waterproof and stretchy cover, which can be removed for cleaning.

This wheelchair is crash tested and is equipped with front and rear mounting brackets for attaching the wheelchair as a seat in the car.

It is very important with positioning wheelchairs like this one that it is done correctly, which is why we always conduct an assessment when we deliver the wheelchair to ensure it is correct.
