Food Guard – Makes eating with one hand easier

The flexible Food Guard can be attached to most ordinary plates to assist with one handed eating. The Food Guard features three clips that attach it to the rim of the plate and create a high inward sloping face to help with food collection and prevent spillage. The Food Guard will fit to plates that have 190 to 254mm (7 to 10″) in external diameter. The Food Guard is also microwave and dishwasher safe and weighs 45g.

How does VAT exemption work?

VAT exemption on products depends on two things. Firstly, you must have a long-term health condition. This excludes broken bones but does include things like heart disease, arthritis, stroke, MS, CP, COPD etc. Secondly, the product itself must be eligible for VAT exemption. For example, some decorative walking sticks are not eligible for VAT exemption whereas a mobility scooter will be. If both you and the product are eligible for VAT exemption then you do not pay VAT on that product.
