This wheelchair comes as standard with a padded seat and backrest. This means that the person sat in the wheelchair will be more comfortable for longer.

The Escape Lite Transit Wheelchair is a lightweight and foldable wheelchair which is designed to be used with an attendant pushing the user sat in the wheelchair. The wheelchair features lockable brakes on the attendant handles so that the person pushing is in full control of the wheelchair.

The Escape Lite Transit Wheelchair has flame-retardant padded upholstery, full length armrests, adjustable seat belt, and a folding frame and backrest. Features detachable swing-away footrests, measuring 40-56 cm in length, making transfers in and out of the wheelchair easier. Footplates are also made with heel cups to provide extra shock absorption while being seated.

The Days Escape Lite Transit Wheelchair accommodates the needs of different users by providing multiple seat widths. Suited to use indoors or outside, the Escape Lite wheelchair comes in a choice of three seat widths: Narrow (seat width: 41cm, width between arms: 38cm, external width-open: 50.5cm, user weight: 100kg), Standard (seat width: 46cm, width between arms: 41cm, external width-open: 53cm, user weight: 100kg), Wide (seat width: 51cm, width between arms: 48cm, external width-open: 56cm, user weight: 120kg).

How does VAT exemption work?

VAT exemption on products depends on two things. Firstly, you must have a long-term health condition. This excludes broken bones but does include things like heart disease, arthritis, stroke, MS, CP, COPD etc. Secondly, the product itself must be eligible for VAT exemption. For example, some decorative walking sticks are not eligible for VAT exemption whereas a mobility scooter will be. If both you and the product are eligible for VAT exemption then you do not pay VAT on that product.

We will hand deliver this product directly to your door ready for you to use.​

A member of our team will deliver this product to you, install it if necessary, and give you a thorough demonstration.

We deliver most of our larger products such as Mobility Scooters and Riser Recliners ourselves and do not use couriers. This helps make sure you receive a great standard of service.

Some of our other products are fulfilled by third party partners. This means you may not receive all products in your order at the same time. We aim to have your product(s) delivered within 7 days of receipt of your order.

In-store Availability

We hold a wide range of products across our showrooms – it’s what makes us unique.

However, we allow customers to purchase and take away certain products with them on the day. As such we cannot always guarantee we have the item in stock you are looking for.

The easiest way to confirm stock levels is to contact your local showroom. They will be able to tell for certain if they have the product you are interested in.

For our Mobility Scooters, Riser Recliners, Powerchairs, Adjustable Beds, Wheelchairs and some Walking Aids we will even conduct a free of charge home demonstration, provided you live within roughly 15 miles of a showroom. Ask a colleague for more information.
