Lithium Lightweight Mobility Scooters
Over the past few years transportable mobility scooters have developed at a phenomenal rate. Traditionally these types of mobility scooter were made of steel with batteries similar in weight to a car battery. This made them heavy to lift in and out of a car even when broken down into five parts.
In the last few years, the composition of these travel scooters has now changed such that they are made of aluminium and are powered by a lithium battery. This has in some cases over halved the weight of the mobility scooter.
We have as a result seen that where a person may not have thought about using a transportable mobility scooter during the colder months and opted for a much larger road legal mobility scooter and not venturing very far from home, this has now totally changed.
Our customers now have the ability to literally go anywhere at any time of the year thanks to being able to dissemble their travel mobility scooter and quickly reassemble it. So now going further afield such as the coast or visiting family and friends who live at a further distance during the winter is a real possibility.

Battery Range
We have a number of lightweight mobility scooters that can suit most needs from domestic use to going abroad. Indeed, one of the great features of the lightweight mobility scooters we supply is that they can come with different size batteries to give even further range, and with the battery being lithium the extra range is provided at virtually no extra weight. This has meant that a lithium mobility scooter has a potential range capacity to match the bigger road legal mobility scooters.
Weight Capacity
We also stock a number of larger lithium aluminium mobility scooters that are designed to able to carry a higher weight if needed. So, if this is something required by the individual it can be catered for. These mobility scooters also break down into transportable pieces.
Styles & Colours
It used to be levelled at mobility scooters that they were a little dull and boring, but again the new designs come with some great vibrant colours and look very stylish. Our mobility scooters are very modern, with things such as LED lighting. In some cases, they can be configurable such as changing the seat height and tiller (handlebar) positioning.
Transporting
The whole purpose of a transportable mobility scooter is that not only can you store it let’s say in your garage for daily use but you can easily dissemble it and pop it into your car. We can fit our mobility scooters broken down into just about any car, though some may need the seats folding down if a really small car.
Also, we can fit hoists to your car if you didn’t want to break down the mobility scooter at all. Whilst away on holiday for example, lets say staying in a hotel you can leave the scooter in your car and simply take the battery box into the hotel to charge overnight. Very simple.
