To help you understand the terminology used within the rise and recliner range, here is our Jargon Buster to help you.
Single motor which controls all the components within the chair. This means that the back rest and leg rest operate in sync.
Has two motors which operate independently to one another. This means you can use the back rest and leg rest independently from each other.
Static chair which doesn’t rise or recline, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t super comfy.
This type of chair doesn’t need lots of space to operate. It can be placed close to a wall and still fully recline.
Designed to keep your body at a 90-degree angle when reclined. This is so your feet are elevated, which increases blood flow.
This is a back option which provides great lumbar support as well as head and back support.
Lateral and Mini Lateral
This type of back option is great for keeping your back in a lateral position which helps keep you comfortable when seated. Available in a standard or mini.
The Button-back option provides a stylish back but still providing great comfort.

Single Motor Tilt-in-Space
The Single Motor Tilt-in-Space mechanism is available across our range of made to measure chairs. A simple three button backlit handset allows the user to easily transfer between reclining and sitting positions. It also has an on-off switch, to avoid accidental activation. As the leg-rest is elevated the back-rest will recline, always remaining in a 90 degree angle to ensure the back is well supported at all times.
The Dual Motor mechanism is available across our range of made to measure chairs. This chair’s handset enables movement between seating positions, allowing the user to elevate the leg-rest and back-rest independently to find their ideal seating position. A dual motor riser recliner chair has all the features of the single motor chair except a separate motor controls the footrest. This offers more flexibility for you to find the optimum position for comfort.

Single Motor Wall-hugger
The Single Motor Wall hugger riser recliner chair mechanism is available across our made to measure range. The chair is controlled through a simple 2 button handset which allows for ease of operation. Whilst reclining, the wall-hugger mechanism moves the chair forwards, away from any objects behind. This means you only need 4 inches of space at the back of the chair.
